Participant Preferences

Amanda
1) What fibers do you prefer for mittens?

Definitely natural fibers, my favorites are wool and alpaca. I would really prefer not to have acrylic yarn for my mittens.

2) What are your top 3 favorite mitten colors?

Any color found in nature (no neons) - surprise me! I would like getting a color (or colors) I might not normally choose for myself. Stripes or patterns would be fun too. :) I'm not picky.

3) What size mittens do you wear, small, medium, or large?

Probably medium but I have long fingers so maybe a little bit longer than normal. Don't worry, they're not freakishly long or anything. :) I've just noticed with store bought mittens my fingers tend to poke against the top, which bugs me. :D

1) What fibers do you prefer for mittens?

Anything fiber wise is fine. I'm not allergic to anything and I know that it could get expensive with the beautiful yarns out there so I don't have a preference.

2) What are your top 3 favorite mitten colors?

My three favorite colors in mittens are blue, green and black.

3) What size mittens do you wear, small, medium, or large?

I wear medium mittens, I'm on the borderline to small though...
8 inches around my pal, 7 inches from bottom of hand to tip of middle finger, 3 inches for the thumb.

1) What fibers do you prefer for mittens? Note what you like and what you don't, all's fair here.
Something warm - wool, or a wool blend. No cotton or acrylic please. I live near the ocean in Canada, so it gets pretty dang cold here!

2) What are your top 3 favorite mitten colors?

Red, Purple and.... I don't know. But generally I like deep, rich colours.

3) What size mittens do you wear, small, medium, or large?

Medium to large.

1) I love soft fibres... but I don't mind wool at all like Merino is divine... I spin so i just love the feel of all fibres... preferably natural... i LOVE LOVE LOVE alpaca... but that's not a must being that it is a bit 'lush'.. I'm pretty easy to please but i do not like those fake fur wools or the like... I'm very much a hippy...

2) my top mitten colours are BROWN, PINK, and anything like a rich mauve or plum or something that will go nicely with my bright green old navy pea jacket... green is my favorite colour but green mittens and a green coat is a bit much... But I love rich colours and more than one colour is fab too if my partner is up to it... or if all else fails variegated wool! hahaha

3) I think I'm about a medium for mittens... i can even fit the kid's extra large mittens at gapkids
whenever i make mittens i often make them to fit me and they fit others perfectly... so i'm an average joe kinda hand i guess..

I like mittens made out of wool because they are warmer than acrylic.
I love color. I like strong colors (not neon bright). I like blue or green for mittens.
My palm is 3.25 inches wide (circumference is 6.5 inches) and 6.5 inches long. My thumb is 1.75 inches long.

1) What fibers do you prefer for mittens?

I live in Minnesota so the warmer the fiber the better (which means acrylic isn't something I use or prefer as I haven't found one that will keep my hands warm). I love alpaca (how could you not?) as it's incredibly soft but I also like the more sturdy wools and blends.

2) What are your top 3 favorite mitten colors?

I can't narrow it to 3! I love jewel tones like deep purple, dark blue, burgandy, emerald green, gold. I'm pretty open to color, it's more important to me that the fiber is warm enough for my hands. I have two coats I wear in the winter, one is black and one brown so have fun and surprise me with the colors you choose.

3) What size mittens do you wear, small, medium, or large?

I would say medium, if you'd like specific measurements let me know.
